In this short we meet Cam & Kiff, two likable young men on a trip to a friendly gathering at a lake. Although it's unclear Kiff is probably the brother of the woman who lives at the lakeside home. Cam is his best friend who's tagging along.
What Kiff is unaware of is his friends feelings for him. Those feelings result in Cam getting drunk and doing something incredibly dangerous.
This short is well made as to production values and the actors seem very good in their roles but I felt that I was cheated by where the film was ended. Many shorts fail to offer a resolution to the situations they highlight. This one fell even shorter, never completely developing the dramatic tension that could only be intuited by what was shown.
The scene with the diabetic blood test and the insulin injection was very engaging and could have been further developed. Overall, the short seemed to have tremendous potential but ultimately it disappointed.
