Kenneth Okonkwo, Doomed For Cheating On His Wife, Chinyere, With Ex-Girlfriend
world_african24 September 2013
Kenneth Okonkwo was a bright, young, successful accountant at a Big company owned by Vitalis Ndubuisi. He secretly got his boss's only daughter pregnant and to hide it, and avert the wrath of his boss, Ndubuisi, he gave her Naira 50,000 to abort the baby.

But the young girl couldn't go to the hospital to do so and instead bought an over-the-counter medication from a pharmacy store and took and died.

When his boss, Ndubuisi came and sorrowfully informed him at the office of the death, he pretended like he didn't know he was the culprit and nonchalantly consoled him. Ndubuisi vowed to find out who impregnated his darling only daughter that resulted in her death and to take a revenge.

Before Kenneth got married to Chinyere the wife, he had a brief affair with Monlisa Chinda that failed and they went their ways for 8 yrs. But Monalisa began a racket of duping rich men and taking their money and running, after poisoning them and framing their wives. She did that at Kaduna, obtained large amount of money and then came down south where she bought a large beautiful home where she lives with her son.

Meanwhile, one day, Kenneth ran into her in a restaurant and rekindled their past love affairs. He began spending time with her and her son, going home late and lying to her wife Chinyere about it.

Their daughter became sick and while on his way to work, he advised Chinyere to take her to the hospital but she didn't. The sickness became serious and by the time the daughter was rushed to the hospital, it was late and she died!

Kenneth was inconsolable and blamed it all on Chinyere. This gave him legitimate excuse and justification to spend more time with Monalisa, to the bafflement of the wife, Chinyere. The mother-in-law and their friend, Saint Obi, his friend who is a doctor, tried to settle the quarrel between the two but failed.

Meanwhile, a neighbor of Monalisa tipped Chinyere off that her husband was cheating on her and gave her the address. Chinyere stormed to the address to confront both but on arrival Kenneth rough handled her.

After that, Kenneth went home, but forgot millions of Naira he came with from work that he couldn't deposit in the bank before visiting Monalisa because the bank had closed and it was a Friday.

Monalisa, saw the suitcase filled with millions of Naira and decided to keep all to herself and escape to London. She disguised herself as NEPA worker and sneaked into Kenneth's and Chinyere's home where she added poison to Kenneth's food. Kenneth ate it and died and the wife Chinyere was blamed for it and imprisoned.

Chinyere was prosecuted and was about to be convicted since all fingers pointed at her and there was an apparent motive--revenge for Kenneth's cheating on her.

Chinyere was very depressed and tried to commit suicide but failed. She decided to give up any hope had resigned to her apparent fate since nobody could believe she was innocent-- not her attorney, mother or prison inmates.

Then angel in the form of Dr. Saint Obi, a family friend stepped in and came up with a crafty and brilliant idea to find out the real culprit by befriending Monalisa and secretly investigating her.

This was how he discovered the cyanide poison in her home. Monalisa also tried to kill him with the poison but he out-smarted her and she failed. This was how he cracked the case.

He reported his findings to the police. However, by the time they arrived at Monalisa's home, she had already fled and was on her way to the airport to escape to London.

They chased after her and succeeded in catching up to her and arresting her.

GOLDEN FISH is a very exciting movie that has much to teach about marital infidelity and its ugly consequences and we highly commend the actors, actresses, director and producer and his/her production crew for a well crafted, sizzling hot and entertaining as well as educational movie. Highly recommended. We give it a rating of a 9, out of 10.
