Loved it.

A body discovered in a concrete pillar in a car park is the case for The Lyell team, meanwhile Clarissa has some tough decisions to make regarding her mum, who's health takes a devastating turn for the worse.

After last week's average episode, Silent Witness is very much back on form with Hope. It felt like an episode of Silent Witness penned about ten years ago, good old fashioned murder, this was exceptional.

Even when the show has dipped a little over the years, two of the consistent factors have been Jack and Clarissa. I am a humongous fan of Liz Carr, and she is awesome throughout this episode. Jemma Redgrave was terrific as The Detective.

Echoes of Waking the Dead about this one. I loved it. 9/10

Alright Episode

Warning: Spoilers
This is how I viewed this episode

Excellent parts of episode:Despite the fact that most of the episode focused on Clarissa, Liz Carr was brilliant and totally carried the episode. Also the actor who portrayed guy who led the lab at the end played his part well.Clarissa's story was more interesting than the main one.

The Good parts:The Detective Inspector was alright most of the time. David Caves' acting was good as always.

The Moderate part:Emilia Fox's acting was fine but she had very little screen time.

The Bad parts:Most of the acting was subpar and cringy at times. In particular the actress who played Ann carson. She was rather awful. The crime story made little sense and progressed really slowly.

Warning: Spoilers
The song at the end of the second part is by LUKE SITAL-SINGH - "KILLING ME." Very emotional song about his widowed grandmother.

Major plot hole?
oldsiwash28 February 2020
Remains are found encased in a cement pillar. The hands are missing, and the crew wonders why the killer would remove the hands to prevent identification, but leave the skull with its teeth and associated dental records. Later, the cop is begging for some finding that would identify the victim, but the crew are unable to provide one. Did they forget they had the head? Did someone make off with it? Or am I missing something else?
