Peter Crouch must Lead!

I'm a big fan of Peter's lates book (How to be a Footballer), as well as his renowned podcast series. And I'm eagerly awaiting the next book, due in a few weeks (I, Robot).
Crouch is a highly knowledgable, articulate and naturally funny presenter, with a genuine Down-to-Earth take on football. In my opinion, he should take a greater lead in the show, which I feel should revolve around him more so as the main presenter.
There is a lot of potential here, but I don't think the sweet-spot has yet been been hit in this first series, which does feel to me like an early pilot.

Dreadful formulaic rubbish

I can't understand why Bishop, Logan and Crouch - all talented, would want to be associated with such a dog's vomit programme. Money?
Clearly, the producers are trying to jump on the Soccer AM bandwagon, which in its time made football and football fandom cool. Sadly, no one told them that Soccer AM stopped being fresh, trendy and amusing several years ago. All they've done is make three genuinely interesting and witty people look like (poorly) trained gibbons by asking them to regurgitate something that we've all had more than enough of already.
Horrific, dreadful television.
