Death Note returns to what it was in chapters 2, 7, 15, 16, 24, 25 and 32, a work with suspense, shots that show the emotions of the characters, an OST that is perfect at the moment (in this chapter it is "Toward The Climax") and a suitable color palette for the moment.

Spoilers:

Light arrives at the warehouse (with a fantastic OST) and looks face to face with Near, Mikami arrives and writes Near's name with some great shots that (as I said above) show that the characters are totally terrified of him and that Mikami sees to Light as his God, Light revealing his plan, Near's smile and the final scene with Light's victory... Beautiful 9.6/10 The frame i took is now the cover :)

Last episode I said that episode 25 was the best episode of the series and right behind it was episode 35 (the episode before this one). But I've changed my mind. I think this episode is actually the best of the series. It's almost scary how much goosebumps I got. Absolutely thrilling episode and one of the best thrills I've ever gone through!

OMG, like, after suffering through those, like, totally awful 10 episodes, we finally got an episode that gave me, like, major goosebumps. So many twists and, ugh, the mind games are back, thank goodness! And that cliffhanger at the end, though... I just can't even.

All the waiting and buildup proves worth it... this episode blew my mind. A dark, brooding atmosphere. A true sense of finality. Feeling like two fierce opponents were finally coming to a climactic face off in what is the epitome of Death Note's style.

This episode may start slow but will have you covering your mouth, freaking out. My heart was audibly racing and I was glued to the screen. Just when you think one character has gotten over the other, everything is suddenly flipped and you are left completely in the dark. The intelligence of Light and Near as they face off is so well written. The tension, the hatred is all very much there.

So many moments that make you double take, and go, did that REALLY just happen?? "1.28" is suspense incarnate. An amazing penultimate that ends with a mind blowing cliffhanger.

10/10, easy.

Finally a sensational episode after some not so good ones. Kira/Light is very confident that he is going to do very badly. I like Near's dolls. The new Kira is very psychopathic but he is also very stupid, he doesn't hide anything. It would be infinitely better if this final confrontation was against L. Maybe for Kira/Light to have a taste of victory? For real-life Kira/Light fans to be happy? It could be all of that. But it would be much more brilliant if it were Kira Vs L. Kira/Light is very confident that he is going to do very badly. I like Near's dolls. The new Kira is very psychopathic but he is also very stupid, he doesn't hide anything.
