You always need to adjust.

I found this episode touching, and posed the inevitable question - well, what would do?!.

The Trivia (immediately above) just spoils this completely - as a review of the episode. Everybody knew each other, etc., etc.

However, charging on, some of us are at an age where this situation is a (slim) possibility. The Episode handled it well, as usual, and I particularly liked the dressing down of the obnoxious mother.

Nothing stays the same, but rolling with it sometimes takes openness.

Funny, and lovely

It's a very funny episode, Charlie Briggs arrives at the Harper household, only now Charlie has become Charlotte. The episode amusingly deals with how accepting The Harper family are, with the exception of Ben, who struggles to understand what's happened, not offensive or mean spirited in any way, just a lack of understanding, it's very amiable. Of course Ben comes good, because at heart he's a great guy.

Nerys explains the reason why Roger is like he is, she's an overbearing, overprotective mother, great scene where she clashes with Susan. It's another cracker in an excellent series.

Loved that line, do you want you and your mother to resemble a Krankies tribute act in twenty years, brilliant.

The whole episode however does belong to Charlie, Diane Weston is great.

Loved it 9/10.

A touching episode

Warning: Spoilers
Robert Lindsay's real life ex Dianna Weston guests in another really good and warm hearted episode of the show.

The Roger/Abi subplot is forgettable, so too the one with Janey, because the real centre of this episode is seeing such a usually grumpy and narrow minded man like Ben Harper accept that his old friend Charlie is now Charlotte.

I thought David Cantor the writer did a wonderful job with this.
