The debut of Jeannie's sister
kevinolzak30 October 2016
"Jeannie or the Tiger" was only the second episode of the third season, but marked the very first appearance of Jeannie's sexy brunette sister, inexplicably dubbed Jeannie II and also played by Barbara Eden, another nod to BEWITCHED, which had allowed Elizabeth Montgomery to double as Samantha's wild cousin Serena. Not having seen her sister in 2000 years, Jeannie blinks the two together, her sister a wildcat bored with her 80 year old, limousine loving master, luring Jeannie into her bottle so she can seal the cork and take her place. She meets Roger first, who gets blinked to the Arctic after he learns of the real Jeannie's imprisonment, while Tony gets quite a shock when he returns home to a suddenly aroused genie. Dinner and dancing till dawn do not meet with his approval, perplexed at the changes in his formerly docile genie. Dr. Bellows can't believe his eyes when Tony changes costumes at the drop of a hat, and the climactic show down gets out of hand, but overall one of the brighter entries.

Sister Act on a Flying/ Blinking Carpet
DKosty1236 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
It's here, the battle of the sisters under house rules. Lots of travel here Tony Nelson goes on a whirlwind play time tour of Cocoa Beach. It takes a while for Tony to get wise to the act though Roger gets to his house first and gets blinked to the Arctic by Jeannie's sister.

The next time I saw Larry Hagman this tired on screen is when JR married a young nymph on Dallas. This one does pretty good as Jeannie's sister does some of the most aggressive kissing of the series.

It all starts when Tony suggests Jeannie invites her sister for a visit. Roger gets blinked to every corner of the globe. Dr. Bellows sees Hagman in numerous costume changes and then sees himself in a Shiek's outfit. These sisters could level Iraq before having morning coffee. No rules

Reminds me of the Emirates head gear
safenoe31 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This episode showed Barbara Eden's acting range by playing 2 characters, just like Jean Claude Van Damme did in Double Impact years later.

I Dream of Jeannie is due for a reboot and interestingly whenever I watch this series I think about the head gear that the Emirates female flight attendants wear. I wonder if Emirates got inspiration from I Dream of Jeannie. Who knows?

Anyway, it's hard to believe I Dream of Jeannie debuted over 50 years ago! There needs to be a reboot now that we are in the Trump age.

I'll take the bad Jeannie!
gregorycanfield1 July 2023
The introduction to Jeannie's evil sister was a great idea. Barbara Eden was 10,000 times more sexy with dark hair!! Too bad that her sister had to have Jeannie's blonde hair, in order to impersonate her. In any case, Barbara Eden proved that she was able break out of that one-dimensional persona that she usually has. Jeannie's sister is more fun to watch, because she has more gusto and more energy. Despite repeating the word "darling" too many times, even her voice is more fun to listen to. Ironically, the bad things that Jeannie's sister does are not much different from many of Jeannie's tricks. Jeannie, herself, does bad things under the guise of something good. In any event, this episode is great fun. I just loved Barbara as the "bad" sister. If only she could have kept the dark hair throughout the episode!
