Finally cool Light is back. I would say "hopefully the show gets its full strength back!" But I have of course heard that the rest of the show is somewhat worse lmao

Rebirth

Warning: Spoilers
The rebirth of Kira ... the rivalry of Kira vs L returns and the tense shots return, a very serious episode that marks a before and after in the seriousness, quality and tension that DN can transmit, without a doubt it deserves the position of 3rd best episode.

"I've Won." INSANE Episode
coasteraddict-1679622 July 2023
Death Note is magical in the sense that you can spend an entire arc wondering where the plot is going, and even feel bored, and yet somehow, some way, the payoff is more worth it than anyone could imagine. In a mere few minutes the entire arc leading up to this makes perfect sense. The episode quickly gets moving and introduces a twist that completely upends the viewer's perception of what's going on.

Through an amazing flashback sequence, the truth about everything finally becomes clear. This is an episode full of revelations, twists, and moments that make you want to yell at the screen. And for the first time in a bit, you feel in your gut, deep within, who you are truly scared for.

10/10.

Light is a fool, but I'm glad he's back

Warning: Spoilers
You what's his plan? Convince everyone and even himself that he's not Kira to get back the note and kill L without being suspected that he's Kira. But he kills this new Kira in front of everyone just having touched the note and screaming and being weird. He's a genius - L used to only know that Light is Kira, but now... L still knows that Light is Kira and knows how exactly he kills people. The only thing that confuses him is Why the hell Light has made all this way? Why erasing memories? To get back the note and kill L? He didn't even bother to prove his innocence, everyone's just dumb. Sorry, but it's true. He's a boy who wants some attention and challenge. And I like it, that's why he fails in the end.

A lot of things don't make sense

Warning: Spoilers
Fukkatsu is another uninspired episode from this abysmal second half of the show. The previous episodes were horrendous with little plot movement or any revelations whatsoever. This episode tries on the other hand to reveal things for the viewer so that he could have a better understanding of Light's plan.

Unfortunately this episode fails and the reason is that it raises more questions than it solves. And it's not like LOST style where you may have enough informations in order to make your own explanations but the questions here are totally cliffhangers that cannot be explained at all. Like what is Light's motivation for killing people from the beginning. There have been 24 episodes in which they could have given background to his character as to why he wants to become the God of the new world. Like an event that changed his life and made him wanting to eliminate all evil in the world. The show might go there in the next episodes but at the current direction of the show, that seems highly unlikely. Next, why is Mhysa not able to have Shinigami eyes when she touches her death note again? Is it because her Shinigami changed with Light's? The show didn't revealed that or explained it. And something tells me it won't in the next episodes.

I honestly liked the first 10 episodes of the show then it went downhill with another Kira then that boring stuff with Yotsuda and the third Kira, even though that was Light's plan all along... there were still many questions I had left unanswered since this show from the beginning threw so many things in my face and expected me to just accept them like that. I like to see development and explanation in a story not just questioning things thrown there to make the plot move forward.

This show is becoming a mess slowly, but I still have hopes for what'she to come next. It's an 8 from for this episodes which had good moments but failed in revealing the most important things.

Genial

Warning: Spoilers
What a spectacular, stupendous, wonderful episode. Light's plan was sensational, very clever. Sad for Misa's life, she is very submissive to Light's piece of trash. Does anyone know how to count these numbers that Shinigami or those who have Shinigami eyes see on people? If anyone knows, please let me know. I wanted to know how long Light would have to live, and so did Misa. A flawless episode, finally back on track, Light finally returned to being Kira, no one is better than him in this role. I missed Ryuk. This episode was very geniality. Very awesome. Episode twenty-four watched on March 6, 2024.
