After delivering the definitive Batman with Batman: The Animated Series, Bruce Timm joined forces with Alan Burnett to give the other member of the World’s Finest a similar treatment. Voiced by Tim Daly, Superman: The Animated Series made its debut in 1996, and is often considered the definitive onscreen portrayal of the character, only next to Christopher Reeve.
But despite its success, Daly wasn’t brought back to voice Clark Kent in Justice League Unlimited, and The Sopranos star had a pretty good idea about why it was the case.

Zack Snyder laid the foundation for the now-defunct DC Extended Universe with his 2013 film starring Henry Cavill. Departing from traditional portrayals, Snyder offered a darker interpretation of the iconic character, who is generally seen as a beacon of hope. Despite this departure, Cavill’s portrayal has continued to resonate with fans, earning him praise for capturing the essence of Superman.

When it comes to iconic superhero costumes, fans can be very passionate about any changes or updates that are made to their favorite characters’ looks. Recently, James Gunn’s Superman (formerly known as Superman Legacy) officially debuted its official David Corenswet Superman suit early on Monday afternoon.
Taking on Threads, Gunn shared the first look of Superman, who can be seen pulling on his boots while sitting in a chair. It is a rather strange look, though. Moreover, it has been noted that the suit appears a little baggy on Corenswet (especially on shoulders) and does not exactly appear to be the ‘muscle clinging’ type from this perspective. But one thing is sure: We have not seen this kind of linework on other suits before.

Will Gal Gadot become one of the few Dceu actors to reprise their characters in the Dcu?
If you've lost score at home, the important tidbits to remember regarding the current status of Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman is that James Gunn and Peter Safran unveiled the Dcu film slate in January 2023 and it was absent a standalone Wonder Woman movie.
Yet, despite that fact, in August 2023, Gal Gadot told the media that she had met with Gunn and Safran and had been assured that she would be returning to the role.
Since then, there's been a series of conflicting rumors and reports that state that Gadot will be back as Wonder Woman or that she's out.

Marvel Rivals is coming from NetEase, and the developers have strong words about the ambitious project. Recent video games that focus on superheroes, or antiheroes in the case of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, were underwhelming, and fans hope this game will be better.

Fans heavily criticized Snyder’s approach to the Dceu, as he infused a darker tone into the characters and altered key qualities.
“Batman V Superman” faced similar backlash for cramming numerous major characters into one film, resulting in a crowded narrative with pacing issues, a convoluted plot, and inadequate character development.
Gunn is now tasked with revitalizing the DC cinematic universe, now known as the Dcu post-reboot, with his first live-action project, ‘Superman,’ slated for release in 2025. However, even over a year ahead of the movie’s debut, the director faces regular criticism on social media. The latest accusation against him is gaining traction and appears to have some merit.
In ‘Superman,’ Gunn intends to introduce four Justice League members alongside Corenswet as Clark Kent and Brosnahan’s Lois Lane: Guy Gardner (played by Nathan Fillion), Hawkgirl (played by Isabela Merced), Mister Terrific (played by Edi Gathegi), and Metamorpho (played by Anthony Carrigan). Batman is one of the most popular characters; he’s had a cult following ever since Bob Kane created the character in Detective Comics #27. The Arkhamverse, which began with Arkham Asylum, propelled the Caped Crusader to another level for fans.
Despite the latest title addition to the games’ universe coming out as recently as February, it, per fans, died with the third entry in Rocksteady’s series. DC, however, doesn’t seem to understand it and seems hellbent on milking the series with its latest VR title, Arkham Shadow. Here are five reasons why it’s high time that the comic book company accepts this and begins a new epoch for the Dark Knight.

Zack Snyder’s dreams of rebooting the entire DC universe were short-lived, and the filmmaker was pushed out before he could create a conclusive enough world. While fans were disappointed to see him go, they have pretty much backtracked and are excited to have James Gunn helm the superhero universe now.

Batman Beyond remains one of the greatest versions of the Dark Knight, following Terry McGinnis in the city of Neo Gotham, as he is mentored by Bruce Wayne in a cyberpunk setting. That being said, his Army of the Dead and Rebel Moon sagas were no exception to this fact. In fact, as it turns out through a new set of threads shared by a fan pointing out the similarities between the two universes, Snyder just may have left these clues behind for fans to figure out just how perfectly his AotD and Rm worlds collide and connect. And fans? Well, they’re as baffled as ever, indeed!

Your first thought probably is that Affleck is returning as a Daredevil variant, possibly in the upcoming ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ alongside Garner’s Elektra, after all ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is currently undergoing reshoots to add more cameos to the movie.

Ben Affleck has donned a lot of roles throughout his spectacular career as an actor in the entertainment industry. This includes superhero roles in both the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as the DC Extended Universe. But despite being such a tremendous actor with a versatile range, working in the superhero genre didn’t quite seem to work out for him the way it should have.
Ben Affleck in Deep Water.
Nonetheless, recent reports from an industry insider are claiming that the MCU is, once again, reportedly in talks with Affleck for a mystery role. However, while these reports may leave those fans of his who have been waiting so long to see him don a costume once again hopeful, the 51-year-old mastermind’s past comments on superhero films are more than enough to crash that hope.

The Dark Knight trilogy is one of the finest superhero franchises out there, and while The Dark Knight Rises did close the book on Christian Bale’s Batman, screenwriter Jonathan Nolan would eagerly return for more.
Jonathan Nolan, who co-wrote both The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, was asked by Showsha if he’d like to return to the Batman franchise. “Wouldn’t that be a dream?” Nolan said. “That period was 10 years of my life [from] when I got the call to work on Batman Begins, and it was epic. Working with Christian [Bale], Heath [Ledger], Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and to honor an American icon. If I had the chance to go back and work on that again? Absolutely.“
Getting that bang back together would be a tall order, as Nolan admitted, “We’ve moved onto other things,” and “other people have picked up the mantel and moved on with those characters.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War was an original story that served as a sequel to Justice League Dark. The film served as the finale to the Dcau, which was then rebooted into the Tomorrow-verse. The film deals with some pretty heavy subject matter, concerning the end of the timeline as we knew it.

Throughout its decade-long run, Arrowverse was mostly a mixed bag when it came to delivering quality TV. But it had its fair share of moments, with one of its biggest highlights being 2019’s Crisis on Infinite Earths adaptation, which is also seen as the last high point for the series. And with Tomorrowverse on the verge of its end, which will follow the Crisis on Infinite Earths Storyline to conclude the saga, fans have been wondering if it will take notes from the CW version.
However, to Arrowverse fans’ dismay, the animated version of the iconic comic event has nothing to do with its live-action counterpart.

Superhero games today have a lot of inspirational titles that came before the modern era of gaming. Back in 2009, Batman: Arkham Asylum arrived as one of the most phenomenal takes on the Batman universe. Ever since, few games have managed to do justice to the genre.
It has been eight years since the last game in the series came out, and the upcoming entry into the series, Batman: Arkham Shadow, is going to be a fresh take on the franchise. However, fans don’t seem too excited about this one, especially because it’s a VR title and not something else.
Even though the new game promises to make the best use of VR technology, is it truly necessary? Furthermore, why is this new entry so upsetting to fans?

Zack Snyder’s vision for the DC Extended Universe has long been a topic of fascination among fans. Therefore, after the filmmaker recently revealed what his conclusive plans would have been for Henry Cavill’s Superman, had his Dceu franchise continued, Snyder baffled people with his ideas.

According to his gripping interview with GQ, Zack Snyder opened up on what he had in store for Superman, following the ending of Justice League. Henry Cavil's time in the DC Extended Universe abruptly ended after his widely celebrated return as Superman in Black Adam. DC Studios decided they didn't want him to stick around as the Man of Steel, and David Corenswet was cast as his replacement.
Of course, had filmmaker Zack Snyder not been ousted from the Dceu before Justice League finished shooting, he'd have made at least two sequels to the 2017 movie.
GQ recently caught up with the director to discuss his career behind the camera. Snyder then elaborated on his decision to end Zack Snyder's Justice League with a glimpse into the future which revealed that Superman eventually falls under Darkseid's control.
We even returned to the Dceu's "Knightmare" timeline, with Batman leading a team of heroes and villains plotting to take the Man of Steel down.

Following a limited theatrical release, director Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire (read our review Here) was released through the Netflix streaming service back in December, then Rebel Moon: Part Two – The Scargiver (read our review of that one Here) reached the service last month… but we’ve known from early on that these PG-13 versions of the movies wouldn’t be the only versions we’d see. Snyder has also put together extended director’s cut of both films, which will each have around an hour of additional footage. They’re expected to be released through Netflix sometime this summer, possibly in August, and the director’s cut of Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire just got its rating from the Motion Picture Association ratings board. It earned an R for brutal bloody violence and gore, sexual content, graphic nudity and language.

Kevin Conroy’s voice has forever been imbued into that of Batman’s. One’s name cannot exist without the other. It is that both their legacies coexist in a way that becomes inseparable. With his final act only moments away from being released, there is a lot of anticipation, hope, and sheer love for the late actor.

Last month, non-profit group Good Energy launched what it called a Bechdel Test for Climate Change, a simple set of criteria designed to determine if it was clear climate change was present in a film. The real Allison Bechdel even endorsed it.
As part of the “Climate Reality Check,” just three movies nominated for Oscars this year passed the test’s two simple rules: “Climate change exists” and “a character knows it.” Now a more extensive study published by Good Energy and Colby College’s Buck Lab for Climate and Environment has analyzed 250 of the top grossing movies between 2013 and 2022 under the same criteria.
Global warming has been with us for a while now, but only 12.8 percent — 32 of the 250 films studied in that time span — even passed the first criteria saying that climate change exists. Only 24 films, or 9.6 percent, passed both criteria of the test.

Global warming has been with us for a while now, but only 12.8 percent — 32 of the 250 films studied in that time span — even passed the first criteria saying that climate change exists. Only 24 films, or 9.6 percent, passed both criteria of the test.

In the coming months, British actors’ union Equity and producer trade body Pact are expected to kick off negotiations to thrash out new contracts that will cover the vast majority of U.K. TV and indie film. There’s going to be several major sticking points on the table, many that are near-identical to those that dominated the lengthy and fraught talks between SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP in the U.S. last year, not least secondary payments and the hot-button topic of AI.
But while these may be the headline grabbers up for discussion, a group of actors have been campaigning for another issue to be part of the negotiations: hair and makeup equality.
In her 2023 documentary “Untold Stories: Hair on Set,” British actress and filmmaker Fola Evans-Akingbola brought to light how Afro hair had been shockingly overlooked by the U.K. industry in terms of on-set provisions and knowledge.

Zack Snyder may be very well-known for directing huge blockbusters like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice or the Rebel Moon franchise, but all these big-budget hits leave quite a lot to be desired when it comes to their critical reviews.
Ever since he directed an action horror Dawn of the Dead back in 2004, Snyder has never got to do better with critics and, what’s even worse, his films since then seem to have adopted some kind of weird trend as the rating gets lower with every new release.
Though the problem may not lie in Snyder’s directorial style, a bizarre coincidence regarding his filmography raises a thought whether he’s just a bad writer and that’s it.
Zack Snyder Should Just Stick to Directing
Zack Snyder’s career had quite a very promising start, but went down right after. Back in 2004, he directed his first ever movie Dawn of the Dead,...

Beau DeMayo’s controversial firing some weeks before the premiere of X-Men ’97 was a huge point of discussion among fans. While various rumors have been circulated, the true reason is unknown. DeMayo had continued talking about the show as the episodes drop weekly and many fans are also loving the narrative he had built for the X-Men team.
A still from X-Men ’97
While future seasons of the show have been greenlit, DeMayo is unlikely to return as showrunner. His recent Marvel firing and his past fiasco with The Witcher series (comments made by one of his co-writers on the show), signal a problematic reputation that Marvel wouldn’t want to associate with further.

When Black Adam finally brought Henry Cavill back, fans were ecstatic to see Dceu’s Superman return, but unfortunately, the movie itself failed to make it big at the box office. Shortly after, Wbd hired James Gunn and Peter Safran to salvage the DC brand, which led to the duo scrapping the struggling Dceu in favor of a fresh start.
While many would agree DC desperately needed this reboot, some fans were disheartened following Henry Cavill’s exit, as Gunn opted for a younger actor to play Dcu’s version of Clark Kent. As a result, some started accusing the new DC head of screwing over Cavill, and Gunn finally broke his silence on the matter.
