Its all Greek to Rex

Warning: Spoilers
International Rentals wants to establish branches in other countries ( with a name like theirs, you wonder why it has not happened already ). A big-wig from Head Office - 'Craig' ( Christopher Benjamin ) - tells them a luxury cruise to Athens is being planned to enable executives to prepare themselves for the new challenge. Rex is told he can go, and take Susan with him. All expenses paid. He is delighted. But then, Fletcher drops a bombshell - he wants to go on the cruise instead of Rex ( and take Carol with him. We can guess why. )...

Had there been a 'Squirrels' movie made ( as was the case with a lot of 70's sitcoms ), this storyline would have been perfect for it. You can easily imagine Rex, Harry and Burke sunning themselves on the deck of the ship. But this is a television episode, and our heroes never make it. The writer this week is the late Brian Finch, who wrote for 'Coronation Street' and the children's sci-fi series 'The Tomorrow People'. Christopher Benjamin appeared in many film and television series such as 'Dr. Who' and 'The Avengers'. He was also 'The Old Man' in Peter Tilbury's witty 'It Takes A Worried Man'. Craig plays a play for Carol. She says she is taking golf lessons, to which he replies "You must let me give you one sometime!". We can take as red it he's not referring to golf.

Funniest moment - Alan is devastated that he cannot go to Athens. To add insult to injury, he is then subjected to the sight of Harry and Burke dancing 'Zorba The Greek'-style whilst singing the theme to 'Never On Sunday'.
