People Who Care

This is the finale in the three-part arc and it's a good finale. We pretty much see at first Kimber is in deep crap, when she is unfortunate caught in what is now a Killzone, she unfortunately doesn't know where the safe zones are. The stuntman of course comes to her rescue, really like how well choregraphed the rescue was, but also seeing that shows that he's the real deal and the lead actor that plays heroes is the fake. And some of the interactions between both Kimber and the stuntman was sweet, so Kimber hooks up with her hero in the end.

The snafu with Kimber is the last straw which finally gets Jem, the Holograms and anyone else that supports them to finally do what they should of done before and quit the productions, yeah that's what I do whenever there is a box office bomb.

I really like how we see two different productions at play which I feel presents relevant truth in filmmaking. Jem and company we see have become an independent production, despite working with a low budget their all giving it their best, and best of all there is a real sense of community as everyone is having a good time, their all not just making the film for a good cause but they all really want to make a good movie.

Where as the Misfits film, despite a big budget the whole production is a total disaster. As there are just too many corners being cut, Pizazz is just a b.... to work with from her usual temper tantrums and trying to be a movie director despite not know jack squat about directing, worst of all she and the rest of the Misfits are just plan uncooperative as they keep demanding changes for their ridiculous demands.

This in a way shows what making a quality movie is all about, that it isn't or shouldn't be about how much it will make in the box office or even who's in it, but about just making a good movie. The Misfits film production sort of satires/parodies on some films that have been made on a big budget but resulted in being not very good, because the content and execution were just poor.

Where with Jem's despite operating on limitations, they all know what they want and set themselves out to do it, keep their focus and have the freedom to do it they way they want it to be. Really like the music video song, "People who care" which perfectly reflects Jem and the groups plight but also I feel is acknowledgement in anyone and everyone that is always striving to make whatever dreams they have come true and is one of the soul reasons why film are made.

The ending is predictable but all the same proves that the quality of a movie is what makes it and the people in making it shine the brightest.
