The Season 2 update in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 was released on February 7, 2024, and it brought a ton of content for players from maps to Zombie missions and more. The developer has also released the patch notes for the game and it brought several changes to the game.
The latest patch update brought several balance updates to the game including one highly-requested nerf to the melee weapons and while it is surely a great way to keep things competitive, it is also going to anger players who may not find this as useful as others.

This Star Trek: Lower Decks article contains spoilers.
Backed into a corner by members of the USS Cerritos and affected by the same overwhelming emotions that bombard everyone else, the three Betazoid women pull out their lipsticks. Although they initially seemed like nothing more than party girls abusing their diplomatic privilege, the Betazoids extend their lipsticks into batons and leap into action, revealing themselves to be members of their planet’s secret intelligence corp. And thus, Star Trek: Lower Decks give us the first (canonical) look at the Betazed military.
The question of Betazed’s military power has been lingering since the portrayal of the Dominion War in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. That series seeded the power of the Dominion early on and slowly established the Gamma Quadrant conquerors as a real threat. But it wasn’t until the Dominion, and their Cardassian collaborators, conquered Betazed that the Federation truly took the threat seriously.

Miranda Lambert reiterated her feelings on people taking selfies during her concerts in a way less confrontational, way more “yee-haw” kinda way, during her Vegas residency this weekend.
One week after calling out a couple of audience members for snapping some photos of themselves in the middle of her ballad “Tin Man,” Lambert singled out another person in the crowd. This time, however, it was for their shirt, which read, “Shoot tequila, not selfies.”

Miranda Lambert is sharing her appreciation for a supportive fan. The songstress took some time out of her show on Saturday to call out a concertgoer — but this time to shower them with some kindness.
Amid the country crooner’s performance at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino’s Zappos Theater — as part of her “Miranda Lambert: Velvet Rodeo” residency engagement — Lambert stopped the show for a moment to call out one concertgoer’s shirt.
“Her shirt says, ‘Shoot tequila, not selfies,'” Lambert announced on stage with a smile as the audience erupted into cheers, eliciting a chuckle from the singer.
“She did it, I didn’t!” Lambert added with a laugh, before telling the fan, “That’s bada**!”
Lambert also accepted a small mini-bottle of tequila from the fan, and took a swig on stage after giving cheers and continuing on with the show.

Country singer Miranda Lambert paused in the middle of a song during a show in Las Vegas on Sunday because a group of women took a photo. The “House That Built Me” singer went on to call out the group of women, letting the audience know they distracted her and were “pissing [her] off.” One woman in the photo has spoken out on the interaction.
Miranda Lambert paused her performance of ‘Tin Man’
The call out happened as the country singer was performing her ballad “Tin Man.” The artist suddenly stopped singing and let the audience know it was due to selfie-takers.
“I’m gonna stop right here for a second, I’m sorry,” Lambert told the audience at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino at Zappos Theater. “These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song.”
“It’s pissing me off a bit,” Lambert added, clearly annoyed.

Miranda Lambert stopped a recent show in her Las Vegas residency to criticize fans for taking a selfie during her performance of “Tin Man.”
“These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song. It’s pissing me off a little bit,” Lambert said, after asking her piano player to pause the music. “I don’t like it at all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight, I’m singing some country damn music.” The artist then motioned to the audience, presumably asking the fans to put their phones away, before starting the song over again.
Although many in the crowd applauded Lambert for imploring fans to focus on the music, not everyone took the callout as the Girl Boss moment the singer intended it to be. In one video of the incident posted to TikTok, concertgoers can be seen leaving the event after Lambert’s comments,...

Miranda Lambert might want to consider a “no cell phones” policy at her Las Vegas residency. The singer has come under fire after she stopped one of her shows to reprimand a group of audience members attempting to take a selfie during one of her songs.

Pittsburgh indie rock band Feeble Little Horse summons an infectious ferociousness on Girl with Fish that the quartet never quite managed on 2021’s Hayday. Whereas their first studio album was noisy in a way that felt a bit too cute, such tracks here as “Freak,” “Steamroller,” and “Pocket” stir up some genuinely pulse-raising mayhem.
The cuteness is still there in spots, but it’s doled out with restraint, and in a manner that feels quaint and appealingly tossed off. There’s a rattle of cowbell on “Tin Man,” some slight, slippery electronic touches on “Slide,” and, fittingly given the album’s title, a gurgly backing vocal reminiscent of an amphibious creature warbling through its gills on “Paces.”
Fluidity, in fact, is endemic to Feeble Little Horse’s approach throughout Girl with Fish. “Pocket” holds the atonal and the melodic in perfect equilibrium, and the guitar parts stretch against and collide...

The panelists on “The Masked Singer” are blowing hot air as they try to figure out the identity of the secret celebrity hiding inside the Dandelion costume. The silver-tufted weed performed “Over the Rainbow” during the eighth episode of Season 9 and received more votes than Doll and Mantis, which means we’ll all have to wait a bit longer to find out who she really is. Do You have any ideas? Read on for the judges’ “The Masked Singer” Dandelion guesses.

The “billboards” clue prompted Nicole Scherzinger to surmise, “I feel like this could be Zooey Deschanel.” The audience nodded in agreement, with Nicole adding, “You all know she can sing.

Feeble Little Horse have shared another sample of their upcoming album Girl with Fish with today’s new single “Steamroller.”
“Steamroller” is an expectedly piercing dose of the Pittsburgh band’s off-kilter noise-pop, beginning with a cacophony of feedback that bassist Sebastian Kinsler captured on an iPhone. The track then morphs into more shoegaze-inspired rock, complete with a rare guitar solo and a few synth embellishments.
The band’s vocalist and lyricist Lydia Slocum describes “Steamroller” as a song about shame, and her “most embarrassing song to sing.” The song is full of dark and vivid imagery that seems to find its narrator at the breaking point in a parasitic relationship: “Threw the towel in/ I’m tired of baking/ I’m the only one/ Who sees me naked,” Slocum broods in some particularly memorable lines during the chorus. “I can’t carry the weight/ Of feeling stained/ From when...

In the third episode of the third season of "Star Trek: Lower Decks," called "Mining the Mind's Mines," the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos has been tasked with rescuing a team of geologists from a planet populated by silicon-based life forms called the Scrubble. Commander Ransom (Jerry O'Connell) bemoans the fact that Federation scientists often play fast-and-loose with safety, and it's always Starfleet who has to come clean up their research missions when they go afoul.
On the Scrubble planet, mysterious glowing crystal orbs read a victim's thoughts, briefly manifest their deepest desires in the real world, and then turn their victims into statues. Throughout the episode, characters will have to come up with quick, embarrassed excuses when some of their deepest desires appear in front of their peers. Ensign Mariner (Tawney Newsome), for instance, can't help but reveal that she's developed feelings for her Andorian co-worker Jennifer.

As coming of age graphic novel go, Tin Man is above average, a fine story of some other version of Earth with a young teen struggling to find his place in the world after the death of his grandmother. His older sister, Solar, has less time for him now that she has an, ugh, boyfriend, who happens to be a jerk. So, Fenn is left to tinker in the garage, hoping to complete a rocket ship and visit space.
While scavenging for spare parts at a junkyard, he meets up with Campbell, a tin woodsman who thinks there is more to life than merely chopping down trees in the forest. They become friends and the adventure takes off.
The book description calls it “equal parts The Iron Giant, The Wizard of Oz, Edward Scissorhands, and Freaks and Geeks” but it is heavily layered with Oz elements,...

Miranda Lambert pays tribute to her Texas roots in the new song “Two-Step Down to Texas,” a track on her collaborative album The Marfa Tapes, a stripped-down, rustic record with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall.
“If you ever get time to two-step down to Texas/find yourself down ’round Austin way,” Lambert sings to kick off the song, which includes a multitude of Austin allusions. She name-checks live-music haunts like the Broken Spoke dance hall, the Continental Club, and the Carousel Lounge, along with venerable Texas artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan...

Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram, and Jon Randall performed the drinking song “Tequila Does” off their stripped-down album The Marfa Tapes during the 2021 CMT Music Awards. Seated around a campfire, the trio strummed guitars and harmonized, playing up the natural vibes of the LP, which was recorded mostly outdoors in west Texas.
Lambert takes lead on this one, relishing lyrics about choosing Casamigos and Jose Cuervo over a guy. “They don’t love me like tequila does/nobody can,” she sang. The Texas-born country singer was tied with Maren Morris for...

In “The Stand,” a deadly virus wipes out over 99% of the world’s population in a matter of weeks. The few survivors find themselves pulled towards one of two figures, Mother Abigail (Whoopi Goldberg) or Randall Flagg (Alexander Skarsgard), the representatives of good and evil on Earth. Jon Randall had been going to Marfa, Texas, and nearby Terlingua since the early 2000s, and he was quickly becoming an evangelist. “It was one of those places that just filled my heart,” the Texas-born songwriter and producer says. “Especially if you’re very creative and ever have an introspective part of you, it’s that place you want to be.”
Randall says he had “oversold” the place to his friends so many times that finally, in 2014, two of his fellow Lone Star natives took him up on the offer.

As the release of their collaborative album The Marfa Tapes draws near, the trio of Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram, and Jon Randall are popping up with live appearances. On Wednesday, they performed the song “Geraldene” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and followed it with the Thursday announcement of a new documentary.
Like their previous televised performances, the trio’s version of “Geraldene” is an all-acoustic performance that has the looseness of a friendly jam session. Lambert smiles her way through the funky, swaggering tune referencing a woman who’s “trailer-park pretty” and causing domestic trouble.

Miranda Lambert has released a short and sweet solo acoustic rendition of her latest single “Settling Down,” which originally appeared on the 2019 album Wildcard.
Written by Lambert with her regular collaborators Natalie Hemby and Luke Dick, “Settling Down” is a study in contrasts. Lambert’s narrator seemingly sits at a crossroads and considers the decision that’s weighing on her: “Am I looking for comfort?/Am I looking for escape?/Am I looking for you?/Am I looking the other way?” she asks at one point. Miranda Lambert’s collaborative Marfa Tapes project with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall has released another new song. The harmony-drenched cheating saga “Am I Right or Amarillo” made its debut on Friday, with the full album arriving May 7th.
As with previously released Marfa Tapes tracks, “Am I Right or Amarillo” is stripped down in production and instrumentation, blending acoustic guitar, vocals, and ambient sounds captured by their no-frills recording approach. Randall assumes lead vocals this time around, though the bulk of the song is sung in three-part harmony as...

Jack Ingram had already established himself as a booming Texas export when “Wherever You Are” turned him into a nationally celebrated chart-topper in 2005. Nearly 15 years later, he straddles the border between the country mainstream’s outermost orbit — thanks to award-winning songs like Miranda Lambert’s “Tin Man,” which he co-wrote with Lambert and Jon Randall — and the Americana world. He talks about both camps during his second appearance on Chris Shiflett’s Walking the Floor podcast.

Dave Howe, whose 18-year tenure at NBCUniversal included a stint running Syfy and launching shows like Battlestar Galactica, is leaving his post as president of strategy and growth at NBCU Cable.
In a 2016 reorganization, Howe left his post at Syfy to take on a broader strategy role, reporting to Bonnie Hammer, the company’s longtime cable chief.
A Brit who spent more than a decade at the BBC at the start of his career, Howe began as a marketer for Syfy in 2001, rising to Gm and then president of the network and its horror sibling, Chiller. Notable shows released on his watch include Tin Man, The Magicians and Sharknado.
In a memo to employees, Howe described his most recent position as “a pioneering new role designed to bridge our traditional linear businesses with the digital, direct-to-consumer world.” The highlight of that stretch, he said, was the 2017 acquisition of Craftsy, a...

So, How Was Your Decade is a series in which the decade’s most innovative musicians answer our questionnaire about the people, places and things that shaped their decade. We’ll be rolling these pieces out throughout December.
The first half of Miranda Lambert’s decade was defined by big radio hits like the smash ballad “The House That Built Me” and her power duet with Carrie Underwood, “Somethin’ Bad” — neither of which Lambert wrote. Miranda Lambert is flashing her pearly whites and she doesn't care who sees. The country singer and her husband Brendan McLoughlin looked extremely happy and in love during an outing in New York City's SoHo neighborhood on Sunday. Although they both tried going a bit incognito by wearing baseball caps, their Pda and adoration for each other was as bright as day.
