Roy Clarke has a dim view of how vicars treat their wives. We have seen this over the years in Last of the Summer Wine. Here is no different, Richard Vernon plays the vicar who rather play with his train set and sends his wife out to send away the callers on the doorstep of the vicarage.

It is our trio on the doorstep, Seymour wants to make himself useful. He already has upset the delivery man by messing around with a tail lift and embarrassed himself with his bowling action in a game of cricket.

Clegg is down in the dumps after being bothered by some Jehovah's missionaries so Seymour thinks that a trip to the vicarage might do him good.

The trio end up trying to sell tickets for a charity rendition of the Tales of Beatrix Potter. Seymour annoys some customers and gets carried out from the pub. The other two tell him to give up responsibilities and go with the flow.

Seymour is then embarrassed when Compo goes out to sell tickets to impress Nora Batty. A rare sighting of Holmfirth town centre as Compo waltzes a round with a mouse costume on. I wonder if the people were actual passers by or extras?
