A seaside Christmas
Prismark1023 December 2017
Another festive special broadcast on Christmas Day in 1982. Foggy wants to take Compo and Clegg away for Christmas. He has booked a cheap holiday cottage by the seaside.

Foggy's heart might be in the right place but always comes a cropper by being cheap. Sid drops the trio off at the train station. Foggy puts on heirs and graces by calling Sid the driver before causing chaos in the waiting room.

They arrive at a desolate and bleak beach with quick sand and a clapped out caravan which is the supposed beach cottage. At one point Clegg ponders, 'I wonder if Argentina's claiming this lot.' a reference to the 1982 Falklands War.

Foggy has to search for the key to get into the caravan but it seems they would be better of going back home. At least back in the pub Wally Batty and Sid have a quiet drink and talk about regrets in life as well as wanting to avoid last minute Christmas shopping.

The best bit was Compo chasing Ivy in the cafe with mistletoe. She was certainly flabbergasted.
