A tragic storyline.

CID are investigating what appears to be a racially motivated attack on an Asian youth, slightly off his usual track, Johnson wants to be sure it's not for any other reason.

Very gritty, an episode which shows the great British thug in all its glory, small minded, hard done by, and happy to attack those that can't defend themselves.

Cato is interesting here, did they perhaps write in Conway, but Roberts was unavailable, unusual to see Cato so obsessed with community issues. It's a good episode for Tony Stamp, he comes across as robust and just.

There is some sickening dialogue here, it's not shown on TV now, but it's very much still happening out there, and it's sickening.

It's so hard to see Matt Bardock in such a role, I'm not sure he was the right choice here, he's far too pretty, he has such a nice face.

Bruce Byron appears, it would be a few years before he'd become one of Sun Hill's regulars, playing the excellent.

Tough viewing, 8/10.
