I never like Shane much as a character, but in this episode the actor does a good job of showing the mix of emotion Shane is going through, most of all guilt - and rightly so.
Shane looks absent-minded, detached, unreliable and the stunt at the end was 100% suicidal and guilt-related.
On the other hand, I totally hate the Kavanaugh character and I am eagerly looking forward to his demise. I don't care if the author wanted him to be pure and straight as an arrow, he's still a most unlikable character, like an inquisition priest sending people to the stake, because he's so righteous and they're not.
Corrine and Danny are so far useless and Claudette is also kind of too self-righteous. Still a good show.
