This episode had one special moment in it
minerals11 September 2006
This episode was one of the few that I really got a laugh out of old Skeletor. The way I got the laugh is how slowly one by one his guys were being captured by the plant creatures of Evilseed. When Trap Jaw ran out of freeze rays he got caught, Evil Lin was not fast enough with her magic to be able to stop the plants. So right there Skeletor had no choice but to join He-Man, Orko, and The Sorceress at Castle Greyskull. Then when that giant ice ball is floating overhead I really liked it how Skeletor had no choice but to use his magic staff to help the others turn that giant ice ball into a snow storm in order to stop Evilseed and save all of the others on the planet. The only reason why I do not give this episode a perfect 10 is because of how there is not much action in it because of how everyone except for He-Man, Skeletor, Orko, and the Sorceress got captured one by one. If it had more action in it like a running scene showing some of Skeletor's guys running from the vines it would have been better. But one thing that is good about this episode is it shows how two people who are usually fighting each other are forced to work together

"Dont You Ever Get Tired of Being A Hero All The Time?"

Evilseed is one of the best episodes of He Man ever in my opinion.

A evil plant guy named Evilseed starts spreading around his seeds so that giant vines grow all over. These vines start going after everyone from He Man to Skeletor. Soon a twist appears as the only way to stop Evilseed is for He Man, the Sorceress, and Skeletor must all work together.

Skeletor was always my favorite character from He Man. SO I like that in this episode he gets to help He Man even though he really would rather not help He Han. That just goes to show that Skeletor has a little good in him and is not completely evil. You also get to see some of Skeletor's good qualities in the Christmas Special. I just love how Skeletor has to make up his mind and finally agrees to help He Man.

Great episode with the twist in how Skeletor becomes good for an episode. One of the best.

Warning: Spoilers
When Eternia are over-run by large-plant vines, naturally the two groups blame each other for the mayhem. But Evilseed appears and claims Eternia should be his soon. So now the only way to stop him is for He-Man, The Sorceress and Skeletor to meet at Castle Greyskull and join their powers together to vanish this threat.

"Evilseed" happens to be the 25th episode of Season 1, where we see the good and bad forces virtually team up to conquer a larger threat. The way they decide to become one is done very well and with a great sense of humour. Evilseed was an interesting looking and imposing villain, which indeed had a memorable death sequence. It's a rather decent episode that makes for a different, calculated and amusing concept, which was written by the writer of "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter" Barney Cohen. The hilarious antics of the foolish Skeletor makes sure there's goofy fun to be had with his snappy one-liners and twitchy actions. To get into a nostalgia mood, this was a good start.
