A strong 'My Family' episode
studioAT19 February 2020
Seeing the names of writers Steve Armogida and Jim Armogida pop up at the start normally means that we are in for a better than average 'My Family' episode.

And they deliver again, with this fun outing, in which Ben and Susan's attempts to flip a house for profit sees them fall foul of squatters.

Through in an amusing subplot about Michael being set up with a dead ringer of Susan, Alfie's dead dog (it's funnier than that sounds), and even some nice Janey moments, and you get one of the best episodes of S6, and a solid one from the show's 11 series run overall.

The script is strong, with lots of good jokes, and a heavier than usual innuendo rate, which is no bad thing.

Yes, the ending proves that the show has now moved from "things that realistically might happen to a suburban dentist" to "things that might at a stretch happen to a suburban dentist", but overall this is a strong episode.
