Not the most exciting show but one with a deeper meaning.

There are two stories going on in this one episode. First off, Little Pete favorite pet has died and the other is Big Pete having to ride for hours in the car with Dad. Both Pete's have a dilemma that they are going to have to work out.

Little Pete has a friend in the form of a lizard which he has named Gary. It seems that Gary was a special lizard and the two got along splendidly. One afternoon while crossing the road, Gary gets run over. Now, Little Pete is going to try to make the memory of Gary live on forever.

Big Pete is getting to that age where he cannot, or does not, want to talk with his Dad. It seems that Pete has nothing to say and feels uncomfortable talking with his Dad. One day Big Pete and his Dad are going to make about a two hour drive all alone in the car. Pete is dreading the ride and even gets his friends to make notes on what to talk about. It's going to be a long ride.

There is a nice story in both Pete's problems. One is having to deal with a friend, even a pet, that has died. The other is being a teenager and having to deal with parents. If we get one thing out of this show, it is 'do not take it so seriously'- it's life. As long as you feel good about the situation then all is well. A well written script with a deeper meaning of a teenager's life. Goods watch.
