Greed and Decption
Hitchcoc31 January 2020
An initially unidentified body is washed ashore in a fishing village. Somehow the lives of two women, both with missing husbands, come into play. As is always the case, there is deception and greed involved. The men are both portrayed as irresponsible, self-centered types. The women are quite different in their responses. The main direction of the episode involves the efforts to identify the body.

Lost Contact
Prismark1011 June 2021
A dead body is found and the police have difficulties in identifying the victim.

Two women step forward and think that the dead man is their missing husband.

Peter Coryn lived what looked like a well to do life. However he had a serious gambling habit.

Lewis Jay has been missing for some months and was under some mental pressure. His wife has been struggling to make ends meet.

Both men who have gone missing have left behind children who are distraught.

The episode varies the formula. One of the women has some ulterior motive by claiming that the dead man is their husband.

Wycliffe thinks that there might just be a mundane reason for the murder. Some old clothes from a homeless charity might provide an important clue to crack the case.

The focus though is on the women left behind and seemingly abandoned.
