Why does this episode appear six months after the other episode with Leah Remini and Michael Learned, where in that one, they already know each other, and Leah's character is already a model, but in the later episode, her character and Miss Learned's do not know each other - it appears these should be the other way round.

In the episode Living Dolls, Charlie (Leah Remini's) character stated she was discovered when she was delivering food. Sam came to the modeling house to conduct research for a report. That was a nice explanation and report.
In this episode Life's a Ditch, it's almost odd for Charlie to show up. If they were going to have this episode, it should have appeared before the Living Dolls episode.

This is weird, they first introduced charlie in the end of season 5 where she was already living with the model agency, but here, season 6, ep. 2, they bring her back & she gets asked to be a model for the first time.
