Harvey once again is out to slash the budget at Bayview.
planktonrules3 December 2023
One of the most repeated themes in "Waiting for God" is Harvey 'Idiot' Baines trying to save money by slashing the budget at Bayview. Usually it involves doing something awful or underhanded...and "Looking for Work" is no exception. Here, to save money, he keeps the heat turned off and residents are freezing. The idiot's response...they residents should run about and exercise to combat the cold...all the while his office IS heated.

As a result of living in such cold quarters, Diana and Tom decide to look for jobs. Diana has difficulties because of her age AND because she IS Diana. As for Tom, he informs Geoffrey that he's gotten a job as a quality control officer at Geoffrey's company!

As usual, a very good episode and one that has a very funny ending. Well worth seeing.
