Guilt has a way at you

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode, a woman rides in from another town, exhausted to the point that she faints after announcing to Texas Ranger, Hoby Gilman, that Joe Corbett, who is awaiting his hanging, is innocent. Hoby naturally questions her and then checks out her story.

In the mean time, there are two frightened people in town. They fear that the truth is coming out, and they must stop it before Hoby finds out they are guilty.

There is a moral truth in the end of this that will haunt the guilty party for the rest of his or her life. Since the title is "false witness," it is obvious to everyone watching that Marcy James is lying, but the truth of what really happened is just as haunting to the guilty because if the girl had never come in, they would have gotten away with the perfect crime...
