INSANE AFTERMATH EPISODE!

Warning: Spoilers
Wow I thought they were done with most of the storylines from last episode but they somehow gave us an even better episode dealing with the repercussions of the last one. Maybe the best episode of the season so far.

The strike team continues to be in turbulent waters when they decide to work with someone who shot at Shane. Then Shane's girlfriend's mother making trouble with the marked money she was given. Love how they use him and it goes wrong, and Danni being undercover for the first time was entertaining, and even intense at times. I feel like a broken record talking about the intensity each episode but this show is just really intense, and I love that about it.

I'm so glad they brought back the rapist for one more episode. Dutch's interview with him was amazing, and I love how it leaves so inconclusively, you can't really understand a person like that. Clark Gregg was really good in the role. That scene was just so riveting I couldn't take my eyes away. I also love his wife's reaction, at first being in denial that his husband really is like that, and trying to make things right. I can't imagine how people who have gone through similar things feel. There's also some powerful themes of relationships explored here. Seriously amazing stuff, one of the best moments in the season.

Other tidbits that add to this episode. The homeless man was absolutely hilarious. He's so deep! But seriously, I love how this season has both been darker and funnier, yet it feels balanced. Vic being tough on Shane and his wife was messed up but kinda right. Last episode I said that the subplot with Vic's family is one of the more dated and weaker storylines but I might be taking that back because already it's starting to get a lot more interesting. I like the repercussions of the therapist leaving because of Vic, with his son lashing out. His entire family life is getting tougher, and it's becoming a bit more interesting. The reveal that his younger daughter is autistic was tough to watch, I didn't realize how hard these things could be to deal with. That scene was just really great, and I'm glad this subplot seems to be improving. The the ending with Dutch killing the stray cat... WHAT?! That was crazy, I'm not sure if this means anything, but I believe this coming from Dutch.
