My favorite Peterman centered episode.
TOMNEL26 January 2007
Though I don't consider this a classic episode, it was still very funny. The main plot in this one is George won't give Susan his secret bank code, and he is feeling guilty. When he ends up eating dinner with Peterman, and Peterman learns his mother is dying George has to go with him. George tells his bed ridden, vegetable mother that his code is Bosco, and she shouts it out, and dies. Peterman is trying to figure out who Bosco is. It's a really amusing episode, with a great Jerry plot where a crippled man going to hire Jerry as his spokesman thinks Jerry is making fun of him when his foot falls asleep, a great Kramer plot of him trying to become a fireman, and a great Elaine plot where she is attracted to a man because he doesn't remember her. Though it's not one of my favorites, this is still a very good episode, especially for people who enjoyed the character of J. Peterman, because he made this episode!

My rating: Great episode. 30 mins. TV PG

BOSCO!

Warning: Spoilers
In "The Secret Code", George won't give Susan his ATM code, causing a rift in their relationship. Kramer gets himself a radio and obsesses over how the fire department isn't using the optimal routes to reach fires. Elaine finds herself dating a guy only because he ignores her and never remembers her. George gets himself stuck in a long adventure with J. Peterman after Elaine & Jerry bail on a dinner. Jerry signs up to do TV ads for a local business but gets in hot water when the owner thinks he's making fun of his missing leg.

I think this episode's rather fun! We really get a good amount of J. Peterman involved and his stories are always comical. That's really the storyline that stands out the most. Jerry and Kramer's 2 subplots are okay, nothing spectacular. Elaine's is rather boring. But the fact that George and Peterman's interactions really shine through make this a good episode.

Guard It With Your Life

There are the usual melange of events. It centers around Susan asking George his ATM password (his secret code) so she can get him some money. He refuses and it starts a fight. Meanwhile, Elaine's incredibly boring boss invites her to dinner. George and Jerry get dragged along. Jerry escapes and leaves George to be bored to death. Speaking of death, the password proves to be the last word said by a dying mother. Kramer gets his childhood wish. Jerry has his leg go to sleep and embarrasses himself with a man who has a prosthetic leg. And Kramer, who can take police and fire calls gets his childhood wish.

Larry's leapin'

Warning: Spoilers
Lewis Arquette guest stars as Leapin' Larry in this memorable episode from season seven of Seinfeld. It just happens that Lewis's children are actors Patricia, Alexis, Rosanna, David, and Richmond Arquette. The part where Seinfeld's leg is frozen in the presence of Leapin' Larry was hilarious, and the part where George refuses to reveal his secret bank code when someone is trapped due to a fire caused by Jerry I think, well that really was like a chain reaction and reminded me of Short Cuts, the movie by Robert Altman. Anyway, I'm enjoying re-watching some of the Seinfeld episodes after having first watched them when it debuted back in the 1990s.

"You're gonna marry this woman... most likely"

Here we get the first misstep in Season 7. It's not a terrible episode, actually it is and enjoyable one, but I can't remember a single time I had laughed during its run.

We got four stories here: Elaine with the Fred's issue, Jerry with the Leaping Larry plot, Kramer with the firemen routes and George with J Peterman. Actually, George's story starts off with a killer idea: Susan asks him to tell her his credit card code and George doesn't want to, so she says it's part of the relationship, they have to trust each other. This would have been a great vehicle to give the arc another level of depth, but unfortunately the story goes elsewhere and loses its north.

The other three stories are simply the weakest bunch of the season so far. Elaine's plot is too neurotic to function, Jerry's is a bit-turned-story and Kramer's is the bad type of weirdness Seinfeld touches in the late seasons.

A somewhat entertaining disappointment.
