...Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo, in their characters as flamboyant hair dressers, are confronted with the force of nature that is Flip Wilson as Geraldine. SNL wasn't at its peak, and I'm sure a lot of people who didn't know who Flip Wilson was turned the channel as soon as he was announced as host. They missed out hugely. Wilson still had "it", and he does a comedy clinic for Murphy and Piscopo, who obviously had no idea just what this man could do in front of a live audience, and who were reduced to shivering blobs, laughing uncontrollably as Geraldine takes over the sketch. I put this sketch up there with every classic moment of SNL.
