Roscoe Lee Browne and the Barracuda
kevinolzak15 December 2016
"Jealousy" finds 'The Barracuda,' registered nurse Donna Harris (Lynn Hamilton's third appearance), once again eager for Fred to propose, bringing along to dinner at the Sanfords one of her patients, Osgood Wilcox (Roscoe Lee Browne). Perkins turns out to be no invalid, a health conscious individual who begins each day with 30 push ups, 50 sit ups, and a 3 mile jog, while Lamont shares his father's morning itinerary: "he read Dear Abby, stood up too fast, and almost fainted!" As one would expect, Lamont jumps at the chance to depict the situation as Donna bringing two rivals together: "get the bidding started, two guys competin' against each other" "you been watchin' too much Peyton Place!" Perkins also reveals himself to be an expert on fine wines like Fred's cousin TJ: "oh, is your cousin a connoisseur?" "no, he's a wino!"
