Pat gets exasperated when his cousin, Pete Brady comes to town. Pete is an itinerant peddler and their is some kind of a feud within the family. Meanwhile, the Burnside brothers, two burly trappers, are upset when a government agent puts up posters saying that there will be no more beaver trapping in Paradise Valley, due to the flooding caused by too few beaver. The Burnsides murder the government man, and Bullet gets ahold of a key clue pointing to them as the murderers. The Burnsides consign their illegal beaver pelts to Peddler Pete, but there is no honor among thieves. Can Roy and Pat find them? Will the sheriff and his posse catch up with the murderers? Will Pete turn them in for the $1,000 reward? It's a dangerous situation. These Burnside boys are tough and mean! A funny bit at the beginning of the episode has Pat studying a genealogical chart, and he isn't too happy with what he is descended from!
