Don't ever live with a abusive parent.

It's not easy for anyone to live with a family member that's verbally abusive. When first watched this episode and heard David's mom saying that he was worthless, I felt deeply emotionally sorry for him. If I confronted David's mom. I say to her, "Barbra Healey, Don't you ever speak that way about your son. I don't know what your problem is, but you can't speak badly about your son. If you can't treat him with respect and dignity, then maybe he shouldn't live with you anymore. I'll have him live with me."

Warning: Spoilers
David's parents are getting divorced and he is supposed to leave with his mother. But he wants to run away to New York with Darlene. But she doesn't want to and tries to convince her parents to let him stay. They first disagree but then when Roseanne goes and meets his mother she changes her mind and lets him stay.

I don't think they made David's mother look abusive enough to want to save him. So she yelled at him in a stressful time. But I will accept that she might have been really bad and Roseanne saved him.

I am kind of looking forward to what will be now. Will be fun to see his relationship with all the Connors develop.
