"He's Only a Boy" features former child actor Robert Blake, well cast as youthful hothead Virgil Moss, developing a reputation as a deadly accurate gunfighter to cover his own insecurities. He recognizes Johnny Yuma through his smarmy buddy Joe Till (Michael Vandeveer, later seen in "The Calley Kid"), who goads Moss into an encounter with Yuma in the saloon, as Johnny carries a letter for a man named Lick Stribling, which both youths are anxious to purloin. Virgil's father Sam (Donald Woods) holds the key to the mystery, and fills in Yuma on his son's behavior. Familiar faces include Paul Picerni (first of three) and George Becwar (third of seven).
