It's curtains for Susan's new boss.
Sleepin_Dragon1 January 2024
Susan coerces Ben into letting her host her new American boss, Scott. Scott is a somewhat brash, opinionated and tight man, it isn't long before he's squabbling with Susan, their disagreement sends him to bed with acid reflux.

This is another great episode from this wonderful second series, it truly has been classic after classic, another memorable episode.

This one is more along the lines of Inside no.9 than My Family, more macabre and twisted than is the norm, it's very funny, I liked it when the show went down this road. Great to see Susan being the one to get angry and unreasonable.

So Scott is a somewhat stereotypical American, he's overweight, he's loud, he's more interested in the buck than doing the right thing, but he is fun, Mac McDonald is good in the role.

8/10.

Warning: Spoilers
'My Family' did like the odd foray into the world of black comedy, and this is one such trip.

It's another very funny episode of the show. I think the peak series were 3-4, but the 2nd series did have a lot of good outings.

It's a shame they couldn't keep this original cast together for longer, because their interaction together is so joyous, and when people remember 'My Family', it's this line-up they chances are think of.

Unfortunately by Series 3 Janey was off to Uni, and we ended up with the much broader comedy from Abi. It was still a great series, but there was something lovely about these early episodes.
