It's always interesting when the Creator of a show writes an episode, because you can see their vision for it overall.
Creator Fred Barron (along with Sophie Hetherington) pens 'Shrink Rap', an episode that I was never overly keen on when it aired, and on revisiting it am still no fonder of.
It's a very talky episode between Ben and Susan (and later therapist), but never really goes anywhere.
It is lovely to see Ben being presented as yes, being grumpy, but deep down loving his kids. I think in some episodes that would follow in later years this would get lost a little.
A decent episode, but not up there with my favourites.
