Can't believe this is my first Matlock episode
bmiller596 August 2020
I'm older than old enough to have watched Matlock back in the day, but I don't remember. So I'm going to admit this is my first Matlock. That being said, it was enjoyably great. Yea, they made it difficult to tell who the murderer was, but that's OK. Andy Griffith is spectacular. He's charming, he's disarming, he has that little twinkle in his eyes when he's on to something. I truly only remember him in The Andy Griffith Show, so seeing him in Matlock was a revelation. Cannot wait to watch more. In fact, I think I'm going to try and find his body of work.

Interesting premise but not well disguised

Warning: Spoilers
The "killer" was difficult to find because the premise was that the woman they suspected seemed to have a great alibi. From the moment you see this particular witness/suspect, the camera avoids getting too close and the lighting isn't that great. Why? because the she is a he...a cross-dresser. and a psychotic one at that. Maybe because of the awareness in today's times, it was pretty obvious from the beginning that the woman on screen was actually a man in disguise. It was a good episode though.

I Love Matlock

Warning: Spoilers
I don't think there's a Matlock episode that I haven't seen! He reminds me of my G-dad so much! Mainly his looks, but their personalities are spot on too!! This was a great episode with Gary Frank in it as a guy with Multiple personalities! Matlock nailed him by saying a joke wrong that G. Franks had said while he was dressed as a guy & Matlock purposely said it wrong when he was dressed & channeling a woman. It was the only way to get the female version to speak up for the male version & for the lady that had been locked up on charges of a crime she didn't do to be vindicated of all charges. You'll have to watch to get the other details.
