The lonely heart smiler
Prismark109 July 2018
Roy Clarke gets a tandem out for this one. Auntie Wainwright has somehow sold it to Smiler as an incentive for him to sell it to someone else. Smiler is also looking for companionship, someone well run in, he will even settle for seconds as long as he can sit quietly in his chair.

Smiler might be in with a chance. A caravan breaks down in the countryside, not sure which way it was heading Oldham or Sheffield. The caravan is a Love Mobile, a lonely hearts caravan that would set you up with someone else. The problem is apart from an alternator in the car that has gone, it is run by an argumentative couple who like to fight.

Our trio along with Wesley try to assist, but it seems Smiler may well turn out to be the winner in all this.

Kenneth Cope and Maggie Ollerenshaw are the guest stars. Ollerenshaw guest starred previously and played Clegg's mother in First of the Summer Wine.

There is a nice scene with Compo and Smiler in front of some stone houses that were restored in 1992.
