---The Most Complex Between La femme Nikita's Jump Start Episodes.----

::::::: ::::::: :::::::

---"I see lot of young people along the Section but very few old. Why is that Madeline?"----Is one of the first sentences said by Nikita at the mere beginning of the episode and the only answer she received is that it is highly classified. With that little mystery already in our heads the story of the day starts...

Talking about the ongoing mission, Section One's labor is to deport a crazy collaborator of the government who used to support some of their anti-terrorist activities and then began abusing of power and influence as soon as he got them getting involved in one assassination, drugs and the recent sell of Uranium from Nuclear Plants. Section One tries to capture him just to discover that the mission was compromised and that there was very probably a traitor inside S.1.

Nikita finds out the identity of the traitor who compromised the mission, his name is Roger and his reason for it is that Suba (that's is the name of our smuggler) has his son kidnapped. Nikita, being Nikita, accepts to help Roger and after many problems resolves the way for rescuing Roger's son and delivering Suba to the leaders of Section One.

Eventually, authorities of Section One find out about Roger's culpability and the last thing we know of him is that Nikita could not find him and Michael told her that "it was thought he'd be better off somewhere else". Meaning that Roger is most probably dead, he had exchanged his son's life for his.

Later, Madeline said to Nikita ---- "What you did for Roger was noble, but it wasn't worth the risk".---

Now, the interesting point about this episode, I think, is that even when Madeline is a very cold and merciless person, I think that she really had a point: too much risk was taken just to get a very small chance to save just one person. Also, Roger should have known that he would have to ultimately sacrifice himself to save his son. If he knew that Section One leaders would not help, he should have tried to reach the other sections (that in time we learned along the series that existed) or even the CIA or other groups that could be interested in the case. Being a victim, it is more difficult to see that Roger's actions were not the smartest ones and that he had increased the chances for success if he had refused to play both the game of Section 1 and the games of "Suba" right from the start. Also, if he had tried to contact something like the CIA he could have got a slightly bigger chance of both saving his kid and staying " uncancelled ".

Thanks for reading.
