---Predictably Painful !! Warning: Spoilers
La femme Nikita playing with beautiful red balloons as if wanting to remember us the old "99 Red Balloons" song by "Nena", then we see Nikita's hand giving a balloon to a small kid, all that on the street. Later we see Nikita making a brief eye contact with a man and then saving him from being run over by a car. Nikita says that someone stole her shopping bag while she was saving him, the man asks for her name and gives her his. Next thing we see is Birkoff, Michael and Nikita waiting for him to call in the Section One Headquarters. - After having a brief date with the guy, whose name is Alec, Nikita asks Michael, Operations and Madeline what the man does. "He launders money" is the only answer she gets.

Nikita continues to see the guy accepting a series of dates and going with him to some events, including one to collect funds for supposed humanitarian causes including providing shelter to homeless kids. Even when Nikita knows that she is not being told everything about the character, she can't avoid feeling somewhat attracted for the apparently good man.

During the event, in which Nikita places a special electronic device on the hull of a yacht by swimming from the bathroom's window to the point where it was supposed to go and back... ... and Michael places a disc with information in the jacket of one of this man's employees (both very creative moves), they make possible for Section One to get the info they need.

Later, Nikita insists to interrogate one of the henchmen of this man along with Michael. The minion reveals that Alec is really a slaver, being his so-called charity events and shelters for the homeless just covers for his transactions where he sells the kids to customers overseas.

Painful and piercing as most LfNikita episodes, nevertheless, differently to other stories, in this case, Nikita had at least a vague idea about what not to do, namely, getting too fond of the guy and we had a good feeling of release at the end when she helps to save the children.

There is nevertheless an eternally open discussion about one of the last scenes when she kicks Alec's hand while he was threatening to make the kids (and maybe himself) ignite if he wasn't given a car to escape. There is always the possibility that he was bluffing as Operations says at the mere end of the episode and the possibility that he was not in which case Nikita saved the day once more!

PS: Love Her Cat!!!!!!!
