Except for the implausible last scene where Mathews risks too much, it's a good episode. Seems Thornton (Lyden) has spent 13-years in the lockup for a murder he says he didn't commit. Now money from a crime Thornton and his partner committed has suddenly turned up and the Patrol thinks it's from Thornton who's on parole. They locate him, but he says the money's from his supposedly dead partner. At the same time, the ex-con swears vengeance on his double- crossing partner who's somehow survived after the law said he's dead. So what's going on.
Lyden's excellent as the revenge seeker, looking very much like a tough ex-con. Plot's notable since 50's TV seldom showed the criminal justice system getting guilt or innocence wrong. And check out the smog blanket over LA from atop the hill house. Thankfully most of that has since been cleared up. On the other hand, there're no women at all in the 30-minutes, just a bunch of ugly guys. But it's still an involving human interest entry.
