Julius Caesar laughs until he dies
rudy-309 March 2009
Warning: Spoilers
This episode started out great, with a steam room scene out of "Run Buddy Run", with gangsters in a steam bath. Big Julie (Jerry Lester) is warned about Ida Martz (the wonderful Barbara Nichols). Big Julie is gunned down by his bodyguard. The fact that UNCLE agent Slate is named Mark (Marc Anthony?) is also a plus. From there, though, the plot turns into a back story dealing with the great Victor Buono as the head of a bodyguard agency, known as the Buddys. Lynn Bari plays his female partner, and she is gorgeous to look at. There are some cute vignettes, with Waverly and Ida meeting again after a period of time. April attempts a striptease, which is cute. The reason I gave this episode an 8 is because the script needed some tightening. When you have a first rate cast, it is a shame to waste them on a mediocre script. The cast rises above the material, but other episodes were much better written.
