Superb episode that introduces one of "Get Smart"'s most memorable characters, Dick Gautier as the KAOS robot Hymie.
Smart has been assigned to guard Dr. Shortwire and so far has foiled Mr. Natz (Ted de Corsio, a terrific heavy) and his plans to get the doctor and his plans for a lunar surface vehicle. Evil scientist Dr. Ratton (Jim Lowes) introduces him to Hymie, and demonstrates the robots powers by first having Hymie fight a gorilla, then take three bullets to the chest without feeling any discomfort. They send Hymie to "Get Smart" and the doctor.
The writing is brilliant in that as advanced a machine as Hymie is, he has a flaw: he takes commands very literally. There's some good scenes with Max befriending Hymie and funny stuff throughout. Gautier does a terrific job making us believe he's a robot (though an amiable one).
