The church has hired an eccentric painter to retouch the frescoes. He turns out to be an abusive drunk and Sister Stephanie has no patience or pity for him. But she and Father Frank must come to his aid when his studio blows up., and they suspect foul play.
A plot that is loaded with twists and some good characterisations make this is an interesting one, though the actor playing the artist who is painting the frescoes is a bit over the top. Tom Bosley and Tracy Nelson do well as usual, coming across as characters who care.
