A well researched episode, where a person in the wrong place at the wrong time gets caught up in the espionage and shady deals that hide in plain sight in the big city. The innocent is about to get liquidated as the carpet on a blown operation is rolled up, when McCall steps in to save him.
To do this he calls in every sidekick from earlier episodes, some of whom have unresolved issues with each other.. Half the Agency's off-book contractors assemble in his flat for a briefing to save the targeted civilian. When Jason turns up unexpectedly this produces a great moment where real leadership and loyalty show up simple positional authority; Jason can try pulling the purse strings but the gang would rather do right by McCall than prostitute themselves to Jason, and besides, they know he needs them more than they him.
Some great espionage scenes and humorous moments including one character's love of the 1985 NYC street-food scene. A 'Callan' style episode but with less darkness.
