The weakest in the series.

Les tries hard to get his postal order sent of for Vernon's pools, but faces some challenges in The Post Office.

I hate to give this episode a relatively low score, but for me this one wasn't great, worse it really wasted the talents of three wonderful actresses, Pamela Cundell, Avril Angers and the wonderful Patsy Rowlands, each felt woefully underused, all were good though, despite the poor material.

This one feels like a filler episode, it doesn't have many funny lines, it instead relies on the comedy of frustration, sadly it doesn't quite work.

Roy Barraclough, again wasted here, he's done the camp unknown guy a few too many times now on this show. At times it felt like I was watching Cissie and Ada.

Poor, 5/10.

Terror In The Post Office!

Warning: Spoilers
Les wishes to buy a 25 pence postal order to go with his pools coupon. An easy enough task you might think. But at the Post Office he encounters problem after problem - firstly, he is mistaken for a robber, the cashiers run out of postal orders, he keeps losing his place in the queue, a gay man ( yes, its Roy again! ) gets fresh with him, and finally, when he gets what he wants, posts the coupon to the wrong pools company.

Easily the weakest of the 'Dawsons Weekly' series, the one-joke script wastes the talents of not only Les and Roy but but also Avril Angers and Patsy Rowlands. I recall Dave Allen once doing a monologue on his early '90's I.T.V. series on the subject of Post Offices, and it was a heck of a lot funnier than this.

Worth keeping to show to future generations what Post Offices were actually like.

Funniest moment - Les, trying to get back into the queue, explains to a disgruntled man that he was behind Roy before, and a cashier yells: "Do you two poofs want serving or not?".
