This is a slimmed down Larkin clan Ma, Pa. Primrose, Victoria and Oscar, with no twins, Montgomery, or Marriette and Charlie. Love is in the air Primrose is growing up and not Pa's little girl anymore, with a serious crush on Roger the scouse poet. Who is supposed to be working on the gang, making Ma's birthday present the garden pool. Edith Pilchester has also been hit by cupids arrow falling heavily for George, who has designs on more than Edith's heart. Edith is not the only one to fall for George's blarney, as he inveigles pop into a pig farming scheme.
