This is one of my favorites of the early Sharon Gless episodes. The script boasts a genuine mystery that keeps the audience interested. A young Judith Ivey shows up in a short scene and Amy Johnston (who played a schizo music teacher/hooker in Charlie's Angels) has a small part as the woman who is causing all the chaos.
I was never a big fan of the scenes that included Lacey's kids so IMO it's a bonus we don't see any of her home life in this one.
This episode also marks the first appearance of Janet MacLachlan as reporter Lynn Sutter who was like a "frenemy" to the ladies in a total of 6 episodes.
