An armed robber gets bail after a jury cannot agree a verdict, accused of putting an innocent man in a wheelchair, there is retribution when his house is fire bombed.
The story is really good, the cast is extraordinary, the outcome is pretty average, and for whatever reason I cannot put my finger on why, maybe too many famous faces to admire? Or maybe the story just doesn't really deliver.
Burnside as ever is good, and I am enjoying the friction that exists between him and Meadows, who is a very different kettle of fish to Reid.
We have John Hannah, Siobhan Redmond and Stephen Boxer, a drama made in 2021 would be lucky to land three such talented individuals, it's almost a shame that the trio didn't have something a little more meaty to work with.
6/10.
