Warning: Spoilers
Dennis's Vera and Neville's Brenda must either share the same copy of the Daily Mail, or have been on the same voodoo course. As they have their blokes equally by the short and curlies, right where they want them.

Dennis having to abide by a divorce not of his making, and he nonetheless feels compelled to comply with Vera's every dictate.

Neville doesn't know whether he is coming or going so desperate is he, to abide by Brenda's every conceivable whim.

Neville is really his own worst enemy and a complete pillock when it comes to women, he can't even go for a drink with the lads without dropping himself right in it.

Neville deports himself normally as a prize walley but even by, his low standards he manages to excel himself.

To completely complicate matters for the Geordie jelly brains, his ever loving witch doctor Brenda arrived to drive in her pins in the dummy.

The Accused

There is a lot of toing and froing between Germany and England in Auf Wiedersehen Pet.

It is a surprise that the men have any money leftover. It was certainly not an era of cheap flights back then.

Dennis pops over to Newcastle to sort out his divorce. Neville accompanies Dennis as it gives him some time to spend with his wife.

When both return to Germany and join the others in a night out. Neville ends up unwillingly sharing a cab with a young woman.

The next morning Neville is arrested for beating her up.

Of course Neville did not do it but it shows how popular he is. Even his German workmates help him out by raising money for bail.

It also highlights the perils of working abroad when you rub people up the wrong way and get in bother with the law.

An episode that takes a dark route, rather unnecessarily I thought. However it also frees up Dennis. Now he knows his marriage is over, he is shown interest by Dagmar.
