Older Pete has been wanting to get his driver's license since he was able to walk. Now he is of age and needs one more thing to make his wish come to life, he has to pass driver's education. Pete is so confident that he will pass the course that he does not care that Mr Slurm, the dreaded shop class teacher, will be the instructor for this semester.
But as the course continues, the overconfident Pete learns that driving is more dangerous than first thought. When Mr Slurm sets up a course where he runs over his entire family (and throw in Mahatma Gandhi for good measure), Pete now believes that Mr Slurm has made it so that he will never get his license. Mr Slurm has won.
The episode was humorous but the best scenes involved people other than Pete. Ellen was not doing so well so she had to suck-up to Mr Slurm which was amusing and Teddy got to be instructed by Endless Mike which nearly caused Mike to go insane- those would have made for a show by themselves.
Even with some good scenes the story still did not stir the interest that was anticipated. Had it not been for the Ellen and Teddy side-stories there would have been little to this program. But with the fillers the show was entertaining enough to make for a nice watch.
