Best Analytical Show On ESPN
alexkolokotronis22 February 2008
This show is the best on ESPN. It has great analysts, a great format and it is on everyday during the baseball season. The analysts like John Kruk and former analyst Larry Bowa give perfect frame by frame analysis on the faults and strengths on the player's techniques in batting, pitching and fielding. It covers all opinions on many topics and events happening in baseball. The show includes analysts who were managers, general manager, players and sports writers. The show of course includes great studio hosts. Rather then them making the show ridiculous they just add to all that is special about the show. The show includes web gems(best fielding plays) and review of all the home runs hit that day. It has an end of season special that shows the best web gems of the year. It also has a trade deadline and all star game special. I have not seen such a great and compact sports show especially on ESPN with such in depth analysis and reporting. There is no better show to be watched on ESPN.

Baseball show on ESPN
Maniac-910 February 2012
Baseball Tonight has been the baseball only highlight and recap show on ESPN, usually airing after SportsCenter during baseball season(spring training thru the world series), except on Sundays where it's a lead in to Sunday Night Baseball. Often the show goes on location to the actual stadiums like for spring training, Sunday Night Baseball, the All Star game and the World Series.

The segment Web Gems which is a highlight countdown of the best defensive plays was started in 2000 and now the vernacular of web gems has been used for great defensive plays in general and not just airing on Baseball Tonight.

Chris Berman, Chris Myers, Rich Eisen and Karl Ravech are two of the more prominent hosts of the show in its history. Harold Reynolds, John Kruk, Peter Gammons, Orel Hershiser and Dave Campbell have been some of the more long running analysts on the show.
