The movie is quite funny. Nice for a family setting. You might need to be Mexican to find it funny.

The selection of songs was very good, since it heightens the humor in the movie. The movie makes many stabs at the corruption in Mexico, but it does in a funny way.

Rafael Inclan is a veteran comedian and he does a very good job portraying a Mexican in a funny way. The way he talks is quite funny, although it might not be funny with subtitles.

The movie mixes Spanish with English at times in what I thought was a very good way. Children of Mexicans that live in the US usually talk mixing in English with Spanish. The movie took advantage of this to make more jokes for example: "Hableme en español, please". I thought it was well handled. And the girl at the beginning seemed like she really didn't know Spanish that well. For a while I thought the actress wasn't Mexican, but she is.
