The adventures of a goat.
deickemeyer5 August 2005
This little comedy is a bit of a mystery. It was made by an obscure Chicago company, circa 1920, and it has no cast or crew credits. It was shot partly on back porches and streets in or near Chicago, and its star is a goat. Most of the time it's a live goat, with inter-titles serving as his narration. Sometimes there's a stuffed goat, perhaps a stunt goat, for the trickier scenes of Billy driving a car, playing checkers, and sliding down the pole in a fire station.

The Library of Congress has preserved a pristine 35mm print. The end title says Look for Further Escapades of Billy Whiskers. Were there any?
